Liner Notes:

The second finished song in what I call my, “Indiana era”. Field recordings taken from a campfire in the O’Bannon State Woods of S. Indiana, a spring creek running along a mountain trail and into Lake Tahoe and the murder of crows that gather to heckle us while eating the pecans on the property where we live in the country. And thanks to Dhalahk Pantangali (Mountain Eagle) and the gift of flutes to my family and I, I began to play in earnest. Up until that point I had only dabbled with a penny whistle over the years. This song is ceremonial. It marks the beginning of transformation in my own life. That beginning had a lot to do with returning to nature, taking up my medicine bundle and getting outside and exploring with my kids, like a kid. This song is about circling around a fire, calling on the ancestors, listening for their wisdom and taking up the call of our soul-songs. It is a sonic journey within as much as an exploration. Where will it take you?

Feldenkrais® + Cosmic Drumming 2025 Bi-Monthly Series

April 27, 4-6pm, N2Yoga (North Park Shopping Center (next to Adele’s Natural Foods))4490 N First Ave, Evansville, IN 47710.

$35 per individual session or $115 for remaining 4-sessions in the series (pay in advance)

Over the course of the year through 5 individual sessions we will attend to our whole bodies. The first session of the series will feature a lesson focused on our foundation in standing, our feet! Each subsequent session will build on that foundation as we work our way up the body. Locations and dates for each session will be announced a month in advance. The final lesson of the series will be held in December 2025. Attend one, or come to them all! The series will be cumulative for those that join each session, but it is not required. Each event will begin with an Awareness Through Movement® lesson and segue into a Cosmic Drumming journey with a moment for optional group sharing at the end. The main idea is that when we attend to ourselves in a slow and quiet way amongst a community of loving, kindred people we enhance our awareness and heighten our senses in general. It is a safe container to explore movement in our bodies and then travel beyond ourselves through a sonic journey.

Needless to say after my previous location closed, it has taken a moment or two to get my bearings. I now work out of the Bodyworks Massage Therapy and Institute! The Bodyworks space is well established (as many of you already know), its in a great location (across the street from Yoga 101) and has a great feeling to it. The massage therapists there all have diverse backgrounds and are truly kind, caring individuals. A big THANK YOU to my friend Barbara Stahura for referring me to Cecile Martin, the founder of Bodyworks! Cecile has been a pioneer for the healing arts in this area for many years. She and her partners; Leah Martin and Emily Sandullo have over 40 years of combined experience and lead a staff of well rounded and brilliant therapists that I am grateful to be connected to and sharing space with.
